Building AI Literacy together

AI Literacy becomes a societal power only when it lives in the heads of many. That is why we work with organizations and experts who share this conviction.

FAQ

Questions we hear often

What is the difference between AI Literacy and AI Fluency?

AI Fluency is the ability to operate AI tools. AI Literacy is understanding how AI works, what it can and cannot do, what it costs and where it fails. Fluency expires when the tool changes; literacy carries over. Organizations need both, and the Barometer measures both.

What does the EU AI Act require on AI Literacy?

Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires providers and deployers of AI systems to take measures to support the AI Literacy of their staff. Since the Digital Omnibus amendment of July 2026, the law no longer demands a specific level of AI Literacy from any individual, and national market surveillance authorities have supervised the provision since 2 August 2026. No certificate is required. Our programs help organizations meet the obligation with measures that build real understanding, not just attendance records. We certify your progress and participation in our AI Literacy trainings, and invite you into our global AI Literacy Network.

Do you work with small and midsized businesses?

Yes. SMEs are one of the four populations of our Study and a focus of our blog. We offer formats sized for smaller teams and budgets.

Can we use the Barometer data in our own research or publications?
